You’ve done the work. So why does it still feel heavy?
You’ve read the books, sat in the therapist’s chair, prayed about it.
You understand your story, and still something sits underneath.
That’s because adoption didn’t just happen to your mind.
It happened to your body, long before you had words for it.
This is a steady space to bring the real version of your story, the one that’s been sitting in your body for years because no one ever made room for it.
I’m showing up simply as a fellow adoptee who understands:
- The nervous system
- The identity wounds
- And the lived experience from the inside.
You don't have to carry it alone for another day.

Hi, I’m Julie Brumley.Â
I'm an adoptee, a coach with a master's in counseling, and someone who has spent years helping adoptees untangle identity - not as a concept, but as something that lives in the body, the story, and the beliefs we formed early.
For a long time, I tried everything too.
I learned so much… and still felt stuck.
The turning point for me was realizing:
I didn’t know how to have a relationship with my body.
And until I could learn that language, nothing I “knew” had anywhere to land.
That’s the heart behind this gathering.
